Topping up your child's SEndiPay wallet takes less than two minutes using MTN Mobile Money. Here's exactly how to do it.
Option 1: Via the SEndiPay Parent App
Open the SEndiPay parent app and tap "Top Up" on your child's wallet card. Select "MTN Mobile Money" as your payment method, enter the amount, and confirm with your MTN PIN when prompted. The funds appear in your child's wallet immediately.
Option 2: Via USSD (*165#)
If you don't have a smartphone, you can top up via USSD:
- Dial *165# on your MTN line
- Select "Pay Bills"
- Select "SEndiPay"
- Enter your child's wallet ID (found in the school's welcome letter)
- Enter the amount and confirm with your PIN
Setting a Recurring Top-Up
In the parent app, you can set a recurring weekly or monthly top-up that runs automatically. This ensures your child always has funds available without you needing to remember manually.
Checking the Balance
You can check your child's current balance anytime from the parent app home screen. You'll also receive a notification each time the balance drops below your set minimum threshold.
